Not really the most realistic of dreams but I will make do... (SOME KINDA WAY!) Now, we all know that in today's society there are rarely any African American Female Directors. Hopefully that will change... and hopefully I will be apart of that change. As far as directors go in general.. my personal favorites are of course Spike Lee, who can deny Crooklyn, and Malcolm X btw, Denzel was ROBBED of an Oscar...just thought I put that out there, Then there's John Singleton Reppin for the West Coasters out there, (Boyz in the hood! (Loved it!) theres also Steven Spielberg..who is the shit! who knew he directed the color purple (I didn't... for a while) and.. Kasi Lemmons takes the cake for me, as far as Female Directing goes (Eve's Bayou 1997). So the future of film is looking..well quite grim these days (with the exception of The Curious case of Benjamin Button and Slumdog Millionaire) therefore I want to bring something different to the script..you know...and not the typical cliche flick!
